সচেষ্ট অভ্যাস
অভ্যাস কি করে হয় ? বার বার একই কর্ম সম্পাদনের মধ্যে দিয়ে আমাদের অভ্যাস গড়ে ওঠে। বার বার একই জিনিস করবার আমাদের একটা স্বাভাবিক বৃত্তি আছে। মানুষ যেটা একবার করে আবার সেটা করবার ইচ্ছে হয়। কেন ওরকম করতে ইচ্ছে করে একটু বিচার করে দেখা যাক। মানুষ কাজ করে কি থেকে ? মানুষ কাজ করে চিন্তা থেকে। একটা কাজ করবার চিন্তা মানুষের মনে এলে, তখন সে তার দেহ বা অন্যান্য যন্ত্র বা অন্যান্য সামগ্রীর সাহায্যে তার ইচ্ছাটাকে রূপ দেবার চেষ্টা করে। একেই কাজ করা বলে। কিন্তু সেই কাজের জনক কে ? কাজের কারণটা কোথায় ? কাজের কারণটা মনে, চিন্তায়। তা হলে যদি আমাদের ভাল চরিত্রের জন্য ভাল কাজ বার বার করতে হয়, তা হলে ভাল চিন্তা যাতে মনে আসে সেই চেষ্টা করতে হবে। তা হলে আবার দেখছি, মনের দখল নেবার দিকে আমাদের চেষ্টা রাখতে হবে। এটা অত্যন্ত প্রয়োজন । এখন এই অভ্যাস কি করে করা যায় ? এটা হয় কিভাবে ?

Hard Habit
What is the habit? Our habits are formed by performing the same actions over and over again. We have a natural tendency to do the same thing over and over again. What people do once, they want to do it again. Let's take a look at why you want to do that. What do people work from? People act from thought. When the thought of doing a thing comes to man's mind, he tries to give shape to his desire with the help of his body or other instruments or other materials. That is called working. But who is the father of that work? Where is the cause of work? The cause of work is in the mind, in thought. So if we have to do good deeds again and again for good character, then we have to try to bring good thoughts to mind. If so, I see again, we have to keep trying to take possession of the mind. It is very necessary. How can this habit be done now? How is it?
